Signed up for a night welding class at the local community college and very much looking forward to it. I'm walking into this with zero knowledge or experience and wondering if there's any good welding resources online to help prepare. Also signed up for a robotics class.

I had the opportunity to be certified in welding back in high school. I sure wish I jumped on it. I took a few classes, but Im still pretty bad at it.

The robotics class sounds interesting too. Maybe lots of programming with a little hands on fabrication?

I've been in IT for most of my career and am bored of it again. Not yet sure how I'll be utilizing this skill, but hopefully I can find a way to squeeze a few pennies from it.

I find TIG welding to be very therapeutic.

Welding is fun,and very useful.Dont be afraid of it (be surprised how many people are),but do respect it.

50+ years ago I made a living welding, mostly tig with some stick. I showed you my Christmas present. I can do gas pretty well. Give me a call if you want to talk about it.
