Thanks Char Baby!
I agree with pbm. What do you think this heiarchy is, salv?
And to metalboy and cheesepuffs - While I do agree with you about it being bad advertising, I must confess that, though I don't generally watch it, I like Duck Dynasty for what it's trying to portray. Many people don't know that Duck Commander was/is the name of the brand of hunting items they sell, and was very successful way before A&E made them into a TV show. They don't need the money from A&E, but they decided to do the show because they wanted to make a (legitimately) true to life reality show about a Christian, country family. Obviously they are legit, otherwise there would not have been a big ol' ordeal about the old guy speaking his views from the Bible. Yes, if you've not already guessed it, I'm a Christian (and live in a country town, to boot).
Nonetheless, to get back on topic, I do agree that Peak could do a better job of advertising, but in all reality, Peak is not really a major competitor to Pennzoil, Castrol, Mobil, Valvoline, so on and so forth. Peak probably sells more coolant than it does oil. So, I think the reason Peak doesn't bother to "show off" its oil like the other, bigger name-brand companies do, is because it isn't worried about being the best; Peak is okay where they stand, and would rather have a little fun with advertising instead of being down-to-business.
