Looks like I may have to replace my well pump. I’ll be looking at 1HP 240V, 2-wire models from reputable manufacturers. Does anyone have any recent quotes for this type of job?
The pumps are nearly double in price from say 10 years ago. The installation depends on how deep your well is. I spent about $1800 for a 250 ft deep .Looks like I may have to replace my well pump. Did Gibson do yours? How long did you have to wait for a replacement after you called?Had mine replaced last year - just the pump, not the wire or piping so depth did not matter. 3/4 HP pump installed was $2,000.
Although my well is 240ft deep, the pump sits at 50ft.Amazing those pumps can push water that high, I was under the impression there was only so far they could push.
Yes I used Rick Gibson. He came same day as we were out of water, as he has done in the past. Surprised you know Gibson, a local pump guy in Floyd.Did Gibson do yours? How long did you have to wait for a replacement after you called?
