I use Lucas UCL. I wish I could find a spot to buy it in gallons.
FP 60 is a lot more trouble to obtain.
I like the reported cleaning and lubricating qualities, and the increase [small] in gas mileage that I percieve.

Most Truck Stops sell it in the Gallon too.
You can find gallons online from gimmelucas or hodgsoncorp.
Solvents are not the only chemicals that can clean.
Remember to dose accordingly. Overdosing can prevent you from seeing the benefits.
Feel free to VOA the Lucas for Na proof. If the Na is part of the 'package', then who cares if it shows up in the UOA. Some oils, like Mobil, have high levels of Na. Did that Na cause any issues?
And, still waiting for that article showing the coking deposits increase.

Do you have to add this stuff on an empty tank about to be filled up, or can you add to an already full tank. At gas stations I like to gas up and leave, and im usually in a hurry, I don't want to get out and fiddle with measurements while people are waiting. If I can add this stuff out in the parking lot at the end of the day i'll try it out.
Buy their 5.25 Oz bottle, and a QT bottle. Pre-fill the 5.25Oz with the QT. While at the station. unscrew, pour, screw the cap back, save the bottle for future use, and fill up.
Probably works better to add gas later, this stuff is mighty thick.

Good advice, thanks for the reply. As much as I want to add this, im filling up my tank every week driving to school. It'd be too much of a hassle IMO, so instead im going to add some vavoline 4 times a year.
I have the quart bottle of Lucas and I just 'squirt' approx 3-4 ounces into the gas tank.

Which part takes too much time/hassel. It is the 7 seconds that is takes to add to the tank or is it the 45 seconds that is required to refill the bottle?

Yeah, I use the small bottle and add 3-4oz before hand to the bottle. I know my fillups will be between 12-14 gal each time. Takes a min more at the pump and I fill up once a week, too.
No, the part that is too much of a hassle is when I go to fill up at the crowded gas station, the guy comes over and I tell him I want to add something to the tank real quick, and he walks away for 3 minutes. I really would love to use the stuff every tank, and I would if I wasn't filling up every week, but I don't like making a trip to the gas station a 10 minute ordeal. If I only filled up once a month I definetly would. But as it is now im filling up on my way to class, on a busy highway (because they have the best prices).
I'm more into going to the just rolling down my window and handing the guy plastic approach. Shouldn't judge me because of it as being impatient. I always park further away from cars, warm my car up a minute, check my oil probally 3 times a week, ect ect. I always take the extra time to make sure my car is getting the best possible treatment, but right now I don't think my car is going to explode if I just add a bottle of vavoline or redline every few months, compared to UCL 4 times a month.
Ah, yes the funny law that requires someone else to pump your gas - that'd make it much more painfull. You can always add it at your next stop after filling up.
I see that you are from New Jersey. Both New Jersey and Oregon unlike the the other states do not allow self service gasoline stations and you must have the attendant pump fuel into your vehicle.
One way around the time issue would be to put a fuel additive just before pulling up at the pump that way you would be in and out without the problems you mention.

Yup, it's true. Actually when I first heard you had to pump your own gas in other states, I was astounded. I would love to pump my own gas though, the guys here take forever sometimes.
And from what you mentioned srdriver, I considered that, but the only problem with that is I drive 40 miles upstate to school, and they always have prices sometimes 20 cents lower a gallon so I fill up there when im around. And like most people, I fill up when im on my last 2 or 3 gallons, so I wouldn't feel comfortable dropping in 12 gallons worth of additive into 3 gallons of gas then driving 40 miles. I could drop the stuff in there after leaving class, but then the gas station I go to is 10 miles down the road from there.
Right now im content with vavoline every 3 months. Im still trying to find redline, but it's sold out everywhere, can only find the diesel stuff.

WOW, that is stupid! They don't let you pump your own gas?! Why? So the state's high school drop outs will be employed somehow?

Yup, it is pretty stupid, i'd rather pump my own gas. I guess it employs a lot of people, but then again they're taking away money from stations which might not be making a lot of money to start with.
As for tipping, theres no way i'd tip a gas station attendant. Only guys I tip are pizza guys, fishermen, the guys who towel my car at the carwash, and waiters of course.
Plus I think if a person doesn't complain to an attendant about prices, thats tip enough for them. At my job a few months ago a car crashed into the outside wall. Every day I work I get the lame joke from a customer about "you're making it a drive through huh?" And these guys are just joking around, I couldn't imagine working at a gas station when the prices topped 3 dollars.
