Metal was and is a very common mode and many bands did it now and then, even the Beatles.
I enjoy the hard chords and the base and drums.
I still listen to many tracks from when I was in my twenties, around forty years ago.
There are A LOT of great metal/rock guitarist in this world. But, IMHO, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN is the BEST guitarist ever! I saw him at THE RITZ when l lived in Tampa, FL. Man, he was GREAT!

Maiden and Metallica are my favorites, beyond that it's mostly what I'd call metal-adjacent stuff like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Volbeat, etc. I like plenty of other genres to but this is the stuff I'm raising my kids on
Been a metal fan most of my life. Grew up around hair metal, but I'll listen to most any except for the new stuff they put out on the general radio. I'll listen to a broad spectrum though mostly into the more obscure 70's and 80's.
