Any idea who makes Driveworks Serpentine Belts for AAP?

Price is significantly cheaper than Dayco or Gates. Fitment is for 1990 Century.

If it's a Dayco Drive-Rite copy leave it on the shelf. They squeal. If you have time to mail order get the Gates or Bando from Rockauto.

If you can physically look at it, they often don't hide details on the belt, only the cardboard sleeve is private-labeled.

I installed one 3 years ago that I could not get to stop chirping on and off, but originally from AutoZone. The replacement from Advanced felt so cheap, and it started chirping on and off soon after. COO was Argentina.

Thanks, the Dayco belt and pulley are very reasonable from RA. Even shipping from 2 locations. AC in vehicle has not worked for years and is not worth fixing given how I use this car. I'm trying an old hot rodder trick to get a few more ponies out of the Iron Duke Tech IV: Serpentine belt for vehicles w/o AC.

Hopefully you aren't expecting any actual gains from running a shorter belt.

The AC compressor only draws engine power when the clutch is engaged. Otherwise, it's no different than a giant idler pulley. You will gain nothing, aside from a lighter wallet and wasted time.

i run AAP drive works belts on all the fleet vehicles i service as well as both accords in my sig. my truck gets a green gates fleet runner due to my 370amp alternator. they may squeak off and on for the first week but after they i’ve yet to have an issue with them. i change any and all drive belts at 50k intervals however. consumable pulleys are changed every second belt of 100k miles.

I am not lining up for 1/4 mile ET's with this vehicle. However, when dealing with a motor that has maybe 98 HP at the crank, any energy not turning a lame AC compressor gets put to the ground. I am out about $18 for the thrill of it all and it fuels my nascent hot rod passion. I'll run dyno tests with both set ups and post later ...

Get the Bando from Rock Auto

I compared Dayco and Bando serp belts to Honda OE. The OE belt was significantly thicker and more pliable. Fall back for me would be Continental.
