Hi,
I'm new to the forum and I have a very basic knoledge about lubricants only.
Landrover R380 Manual gearboxes want to be well lubricated, particularly when older. They have an internal oil pump and the use of ATF is recommended by Landrover (even if its Manual). Anything thicker and gearchanges are getting hard.
I came accross WS2 (Tungstendisulfide) powder as friction reducer. I recently added it during the oil exchange and I have noted an improvement.
Does anyone have some experience with it in the long term?
Also they recommend it for use in motor oil too. I'm a bit doubtfull adding a solid to an oil although with 0.6 micron it should not block the filter.
Any thoughts?
