Ok, so I upgraded phones. I took the 4GB card out of my old Android, which had a bunch of photos on it. I popped that into my new phone and voila! the pictures are there. [Ok, no real surprise.] That said, my phone will support a 128GB card--and it so happens that I have a 64GB card at my disposal. How do I go about moving files from my old card to my new card?
I'm thinking, since it's mostly photos and a couple of downloaded files, that if I unmount the old card, put in the new card, that the phone will format the card for me. Then I can unmount the new card. I can take the old card to my PC, copy files from that to a temp folder, then put in the new card, and put the photos under DCIM, and put downloads under Downloads, and be done.
Right?
[I'll check the other folders for data, see if there is anything I'm missing under other folders.]
