I am about to request a 2.5" ID filter - what length is popular?

I'd say anywhere between 5-6" of filter media length. They are also typically 5-6" in diameter. Thanks Pablo! You the man!

AEM makes a dryflo that's 6.125Base x 5L X 5.13Top. That's also about the size of my current S&B -- except the S&B is 6"L.

Well the 2.5" may be in the future, depending on current sales and requests.

Sorry....official words:

"...with the advent of the EaAU filters, AMSOIL selected the most popular models to begin with, and depending on sales of the product, plan on introducing more products in the future...."

Humm -- the EaU3050 or 3051 might even fit my stock airbox -- if only they were 2.5 ID instead of 3? The 2nd Gen Neon uses a large, cone filter from the factory. Currently, I have a CAI setup. I might be ditching that soon. I may have to buy another air box to experiment with...

I'm assuming the filters are shipping -- since you can buy them directly from Amsoil website? Based off looks alone, Amsoil looks much better than AEM DryFlow. The DryFlows look dirty new.

No they are not fully stocked at site warehouses yet - phone order system does not show them yet.

EaAU Conical Filters

EaAU Conical Filters

For 3 inch CAI and many of the 2.5 to 3
I like the Purolator - A24642 and Fram 6543 that is a cone for 1990s preludes with a 3 inch stem and about 7 inches long and 5 inches in diameter.
$10-15 for a paper cone that's easy to get and can be replaced. I do UOA's so I'll send one in on the next test with this on my Mazda.

Where can you buy those from? Do you think it's better than the s2000 stock filter, and will I have problems using it on a turbo'd vehicle?

Thanks.

Might be a little small - the CFM for your current s2000 is shown on Wix and also for these if you use wix interchange. I thought the s2000 was longer and 2x the cost .

I'm using it for a turbo BMW 325is. I've just heard the s2000 stock air filter filters well.

Aldive, Do you still have the same Explorer? I used to frequent that forum (previously owned 3 Explorers). Have you reached above 30MPG yet? I remember your previously hit 30...

Thanks for the pics. Filter looks very nice. I'd buy one if they had 2.5 ID.

Yes, I reached 30 MPG and even have acheived 36 MPG.

^^ That's cool! It's been 2 years since I've traded my Explorer -- visited that forum. I figured a lot has happened since then.
