Amsoil or Valvoline Maxlife for swelling gasket ?

Does Amsoil contains the same stuff that Valvoline MAxlife have to generate/swell gasket ?

I don't think so, but mobil1 hm does. although it may stop a leak or it may create a leak.

This may be wrong... but I always thought ALL motor oil has some seal conditioner, but HM oils had more... and HM oil is typically thicker than a Resource Conserving oil in the same grade.

Amsoil does indeed have plenty of seal conditioners for healthy engines in all their engine oils. However, IF your engine needs an extra boost to expand the gaskets a bit to slow down a few minor leaks, then Max Life or ATP-205 is what you're looking for.

Gaskets won't swell, but rubber seals might.

I would recommend QS Defy or Maxlife for leaky oil seals. That is, as long as they are just seeping. If they're pouring, high mileage oil isn't going to help you.
