Amsoil Firearms Lube - meh?

I decided to give this a try and found it to be comparable to CLP for lubrication. Has anyone found it to be worthwhile in the long run?

I had been using Slip 2000 EWL off and on in the past based on recommendations from full-auto users, and doing a comparison between the Amsoil lube and Slip 2000 EWL is night and day. The Slip 2000 seems to do a better job on moving parts, making them feel slicker with less drag.

"Feel" is pretty subjective. So is "seems".

Every gun I've lubricated with AMSOIL has worked perfectly.

"Better", "smoother", "slicker"...?

I've got no idea.

But the guns don't seem to care.

The AMSOIL is also very moderately priced when compared with products like Slip 2000 EWL.

$8 (preferred) for a 4oz bottle.

Slip 2000 EWL is easily twice that.

Not that I care much about the cost of gun oils, but the AMSOIL is a bargain compared with many.

And it works well.

What more could you want?

I have had good luck with it; seems to work very well. Amsoil cleaner works well too.

I use Hornady Oneshot for barrel and cylinder etc. Ill Hoppes grease higher heat and wear parts.

Hoppes to clean and Archoil 4400 or Breakfree LP. Both got solid boundary lp. RemOil great for exterior finish protect but not wild about it as a clp. SLIP2K aint bad either.Avoid or use FrogLube very sparingly as many people magically get it in behind firing pins and it gels up. G96 is okay. Came with my Sig Sauer 226
