Amsoil Eaa filters

I bought a generic conical Amsoil filter that fit on the end of my MAF and it works great... I encased it in a Rubbermaid container to protect it from water/debris and have the cold air inlet attached to the bottom.

I've given up on the Amsoil EaA189 on my truck. I have barely gotten 1/3rd of the life expectancy out of two different EaA189's even after I have cleaned them with a vacuum and blowing low pressure air from the clean side out.

I am now running the new style 4" pleat OEM filter (Made by WIX). Mopar P/N 53034249AA. WIX P/N is 49946 and Napa P/N is FIL9946.

Where did you find it was made by Wix?

I too have given up on my EAA189.

IMHO no filter really does.

I can found EAA213 and EAA202 (both for Ford Escape 2001-2012) only in catalogs. But there is nothing in shops (including www.amsoil.com).

Sorry...

Can you recommend another top air filter like Amsoil EAA213?
