Amsoil Eaa filters

I have used Wix air filters too, and they are pretty good. I am just itching to try out an EAA filter to see what effect it has on the UOA.

Just jam a big wad of cheesecloth in the airbox. Spray some light oil on it. You're golden.

Wow, I'm glad I read this thread before I bought a EA drop-in filter for my 2003 Accord. Sorry, I'll be looking elsewhere now.

I don't understand your decision, the Amsoil air filter looks to be better than any other filter on the market. I wish they had one for my car so I can see how it compares.

Qwick question. I run a remote filter for both the engine oil and trans fluid. I want to run the Eaa filter on both but would there be any problem with using it on the trans?

Oh! I see what you are saying.

You have a remote mount for the transmission for a PH8A equivalent. I don't think that would be a problem.
One of the Amsoil guys might be better able to answer for sure.

Why let the AMSOIL dudes guess. Send an email to AMSOIL Tech Service.

I would not hesitate to use one myself, but I wouldn't recommend it for customers without a blessing from the folks at the main office.

Here's the reply from Amsoil Tech: If the Wix filter cross references to an EaO filter, it can be used.

The 51515 and/or HP1 can be replaced with the EaO15.

What's one of these babies gonna cost?

I would think that Hotwire would announce any new numbers. It announced the EaO50 for later model GM engines. You have to be a dealer to get it.

I guess you'll just have to run your car through the application guide every so often to see if it offers an Eaa.

I just talked to an Amsoil rep. He said there are no immediate plans to manufacture an air filter for the 92-95 Civic, but he would submit a request form for the possibility.

Any word on custom made Eaa filters?

The air filter industry offers so many different sizes of air filters, why don't they offer say just 10 different sizes and tell the auto companies to choose one.
