I just got back from the regional sales meeting. They showed lots of new filters. Many for Honda (looked like most of them). Jan 1 was the target date ..but the guy seemed stressed with saying that.

They also got a number for my Wranglers ..finally.

I remember last year, the new fitments were to be announced Jan 1st, turns out, it was delayed some months. I expect the same thing will go on with the next batch.

They mentioned that in the past they had been tooled up to produce many other numbers. They said that they weren't satisfied with the tooling and that they couldn't get the fitment requirements dialed into their spec's. They dropped back and punted.

I've been checking the site every couple days to see if they've come out with a filter for the TL... Looking to dump the K&N.

I am thinking that the Action News will have something soon about the new fitments, Amsoil's web page is not always up to date on announcements.

Amsoil has been fixated on getting the new computer system up 100%. Finally got one of the reports running yesterday. I will start bugging them about AF's in a week or two. Let's see this roll out of the custom AF's.

Custom air filters sound intriguing, I will have to wait to see if Amsoil will make the Eaa available for my '96 Accord and '93 Civic.

Way off topic (sorta):

I find it intriguing that with almost five years on this board (and loving every minute of it, mostly), this is the first post that I've seen with over 14,000 "views!"

You win, Eric! See Patman or Gary for your prize!

I'm surprised this post is still going. I'm usually a thread killer.

OK Pablo, say Amsoil is not interested in providing new filter fitments, can they job it out to other filter manufacturers? I appreciate the fact that Amsoil made the EAA filter available in the first place, but I'm bummed because they are a small company (getting bigger) and have to compromise their offerings.

Don't worry Harry, we're in the same boat. I don't think there's an ice cube's chance in [censored] of them making one for my '95 Integra. This should give you an idea as to how fast these filters move: Last time I went to AAP to buy an air filter for my car, it was the oldest box on the shelf. The packaging was completely different & outdated, and simply said "Purolator" on the box. I took it out of the box and found that it was made in 1998. Keep in mind this was last year when I purchased it. I guess Integra air filters aren't big sellers in West Michigan.

I put one into my Buick LeSabre earlier today. I'll see about how it flows compared to the Fram that occupied the space previously.
