I second this motion. I don't think Tony is saying Amsoil dealers can't hang here, learn or even post - but no adware!!!! The obvious "me too's" don't help. IMHO - We are always open to real proof, real data, real points of view.

i saw those posts and was wondering who the person was. i will continue to post but when i am on this site i will tell people to order through the three site sponsers. they pay the fee to help keep this site going so please, everyone, order through them.

Since the inception of this Board we have been overpowered by Amsoil Dealers and higher up the marketing chain types. Just this morning one memberl, (An Amsoil Direct Jobber, not a Bitog site sponsor) started an Amsoil post on Amsoil 5W40 ASL being VW 505.01 rated. This topic had already been started by our Amsoil Sponsor.

We have 3 outstanding Amsoil Site Sponsors. We don't need any more and we don't need posts from every one that are Dealers. Our Site Sponsors can handle it.

So Starting in 2006, if I identify any member by their posting that is an Amsoil Dealer or above, they are history.

We have some members that are a Dealer so they can buy for price only, and are outstanding members. DarkDan comes to mind. This is not the type person I am talking about. Any Questions PM or email me.

This is not an Amsoil Site. This site is all inclusive. GC is not a sponsor and gets more space on here than any oil. I do not sell any oil and in fact I use 6 different brands at the present time.

Schaeffers Oil is a Corporate Sponsor and you don't see every Schaeffers Dealer in the US posting. So in essence, until Big Al becomes a Corporate Sponsor, this site is off limits to his underlings.

Thanks

Thanks Tony for keeping a zero tolerance policy on unapproved advertising, as well as spamming. We do the same over on AcuraZine, as we have a huge spam problem but we're usually able to soft-delete most of the threads before people even see them. If the advertisers/spammers don't wish to become members, we perma-

Too bad you aren't an admin over at TDS...the non-sponsoring Amsoil Schmucks over there irritate the heck out of me.

Hammer

Thanks Tony.
It's just to bad that there are OVER zealous AMSOIL dealers on ALL bb's. It makes it hard on the ones that are forthright and honest in there posts and suggestions.

Keep up the good work.

Think your'e right re the avalanche of claims (so far incorrect) about Amsoil VW approval status -100% nil return on this to date. However, re penultimate post by Hammer- what is TDS please?

Ta Vetteman. A bit specialised, the F250, over here given our roads/towns/fuel costs:) Wouldn't mind trying one though, when (if) I next get to the wide open spaces.

Exactly. They're just as bad at a Duramax forum that I frequent. And that's the reason I will never use an Amsoil product in any of my vehicles.

Gee thanks guys. What about evaluating a product on it's merits? I'm sure there are a lot idiots selling all kinds of brands of oils at the stores, yet people don't boycott them.

Besides plenty of websites frown on selling of anything by non-sponsors.

Well, Pablo, it is a legitimate concern. I once posted something in an oil related discussion at a different web site I visit. Soon thereafter, I had a salesman in my area send me a private message that I should be using his oil.

I sometimes wonder, if I actually did buy any, would it lead to an avalanche of unwanted "follow up" communication from the sales person.

Please don't tag all salesman with the same brush. I built my IT sales over nearly 15 yrs of absolute integrity. If I could tell you who my clients are you'd understand. They trust me implicitly. I'll put them in the general classification of Defence.

I have a like/dislike relationship with amsoil. Did not want to say love/hate since I think of amsoil as being masculine lol. Well for the "like side...I think they offer good products overall, and their websites and reference e.g.motor oil bible peaked my interest andeducated me in synthetic oils. For the dislike part...if you put in any other name of oil in google like valvoiline 0w30...48 freakin amsoil sites come up...they also do not address the thickening whch occurs in many of their oils..the constant references to mobil 1 is tiresome..it is like the short kid in school who picks a fight with the bully...if he loses...well the other kid was bigger, and if he wins...well he can have multiple websites on the internet.
