Amsoil bypass filter and mount questions...

Got a few questions....Is the restrictor orifice on the BMK-11 mount attached to the threaded portion where the bypass element screws on? If it is, it's actually connected to the "out" port versus being connected to the "in" port, right?

Ok, I have a question regarding the construction of the EaBP filter. It appears to be constructed like a full flow filter. I noticed while looking into the filter threads that there are holes just like a full flow filter that lets oil pass through and exit the center of the filter. Am I correct in assuming that?

I believe that the restrictor is in the manifold portion of the dual mount. It is if it resembles the original "biasing" mechanism. Now it allegedly has an opening in it that won't require the valve to move against its spring tension. That is, it have to move less to get needed flow. It now has a ported plug to allow flow instead of the ball you see below

I'm unsure of the new BP line up ..but the older BE110 was constructed visually like a full flow. The flow is identical ..outside to inside ..this allows it to share the same common manifold ports as the full flow filter

That's probably the same thing as the PB80 (old mount) has. Mine has a .029 hole in it. I thought it was a treaded insert assembly tool that someone left in there by accident

I finally saw (by squinting) the hole in it. They allegedly put it on the outlet to avoid a .030 particle (any small number you could pull out of the air) from clogging it. They don't use this restrictor on the dual mount and the Dual Guard (designed for two BE filters).

My BMK-11 has the center thread-in bushing with the .029 hole in it. That's the outlet side correct? Either way It's a pretty ****ed Murphy proof design.

I got the BK-203 mount, the BP-87 oil petcock w/street T, and EaBP100 element and had planned on installing it today, but as I opened the box I realized that they had mistakenly shipped the full flow relocation bracket (BK-204) instead

. Anyway, Amsoil is shipping out the correct bracket to me and I should have it Monday. I purchased a special bracket from an Amsoil dealer named Alan Rice made especially for the 6.0 PSD. I'll return the oil to my pan being that it's already punched. Here is a pic of what the install will look like on my truck: Amsoil Pic 6.0 PSD

I'm putting around 4000 miles per month on my truck so replacing TP rolls and topping off is getting old. I'm wanting something with a little less maintenance involved since I'm out on the road a lot.

snoboy is correct, the restrictor is on the outlet side of the BMK-11. I understand the bypass filter is designed like a fullflow, but with multi-layers of filter media down to 2 microns.
