To All,

Has anybody used HDD? I have an '06 Subaru 2.5i Outback w/ 51K & have been using SSO 0W-30 since 3K & consume/burn a little between OCI.

Nevertheless, any feedback on this oil especially on gasoline vehicles is greatly appreicated!

whats your oci? You have used SSO since your car only had 3k and it burns oil! Why the heck would you want to use any amsoil product then?? I would be [censored] if I bought a very expensive oil and my car was burning with 51k?? Most cars dont burn oil at 51k and thats with owners that go to jiffy lube every 7-8k and get bulk yb 10w30. Unless your oci is 25k and youve only changed it twice I would not be happy.

Ryland,

I've owned 4 Subaru's & all have consumed/burned oil. I also am a member of NASIO & Subaru Outback.Org & other complain about Subaru's consuming oil.

Nevertheless, I am going to change my PCV System before the next OCI & possibly change to HDD.

What are your suggestions?

I've used HDD in my '95 Civic daily driver for about two years now- I change it out about every 7,500 miles or so. I could probably go quite a bit more on it but Hondas are prone to fuel dilution per Terry Dyson (he mentioned it in at least one post a few years back).

I really like the fact it is a 5W-30 as 10W-30 does seem to make the little tin-can wonder a bit less lively... It is somewhat pricey but IMO one of the best oils out there in its class. Yeah, it might be slight overkill in my Civic but she deserves to be pampered.
