OK... I don't know if this has been asked directly before or not, but does anybody know the makeup of the new Amsoil 0w20? Is it Group III or IV? Is it going to be replacing the XL 5w20? I'm interested in trying it in my '06 Dodge Ram Hemi, but first want to find out a little about it.

Thanks!

The official answer (and stated correctly by Johnny and NJGeorge) - ASM 0W-20 is a PAO base oil, with some esters, a fairly stout additive package with carrier oils of all varieties.

It will not replace the 5W-20 XLM Group III oil.

Let me know if you become interested in purchasing.

Pablo is correct. It's based on the ASL chemistry. Have we had a VOA on the 0w-20 yet?
