I started adding things to my cart I want in the near future then save them for later. Do you do this??

Today my cart item was $139. and that was a good price. I let it sit for 2 weeks and today it was $95. And delivered tonight already.

Of course if I need it now I buy it.
Currently I have 6 dress shirts and some bronze rod for machining in my " save it for later" section.

What i saved today was well worth the wait.

I love Amazon. I don’t have prime but I usually get items in 2-3 days for free.

Maybe....

I do it often. All I've gotten is pennies reduction and a few price increases.

What I have seen pretty often is an item I've bought, a secondary purchase has ALWAYS been at a higher price.

This is a consistent occurrence. And I'm sure it is not an isolated occurrence.

I build a cart of wish list items, and then thin it out to what really is worth spending money on. Sometimes items become no longer available. Sometimes when they become no longer available they are still available under a different seller or even the same seller with a different listing.

I do not pay for Prime, and will wait until I have enough in the cart to get free slow shipping before I consider seriously placing an order.

I have a bunch of tools for a specific repair saved in my Amazon cart. I took my time to put the very specific tools needed for the repair in the cart and should I need the tools, I'll need them within a day or two.

About once a year or so, Amazon will let you do a free 30 day trial. If you have a couple of accounts, you don't have to pay for prime....

I do prune my list often.
When the price goes up I delete the item and often find it cheaper from another seller..
And basically it is a way to just add something to a favorites list.

I do shop other places as well.
Like for supplements iHerb
But it is a bit sad they have to buy customers.
Orders over $20 ship free.
So I needed two items. Came to $21.45 and was cheaper than Amazon.

So I get it in two parcels. One PM
Mail and the other box came UPS second day air.

I understand they get a huge discount but they lost big money on that deal.

While it is true Amazon is not the only game in town, I can count on one hand the times I've ordered from pretty much anywhere else online in recent memory. Have not used Walmart's astoundingly complex checkout procedure for several years also.

The issue of Amazon not always having the lowest price comes up from time to time (some things just cost a lot on there because just because,) though, again, usually not the case (Amazon has the lowest price majority of time.) Aside from pro-savvy shopper tips like order something online with coupon, pick up in store.. still seems like an extra step, but. When you get to the point that other store prices with sales and or coupons are the same or a little more than Amazon..
