Amazon overtakes US Postal Service as largest parcel carrier

Yes, but it should not be taken advantage of by private business or else it'll become a major loss center and us the tax payers will have to foot the bill, in addition to what we are already paying.
It should be able to sustain itself and still provide courteous service. USPS is a failure in customer service and competence and there is no justification for that. FYI we already foot the bill for their incompetence. And yes, there is tax money that goes to them even though they do create some of their budget by sales. No private business that ran like USPS would still be in business.

This year a one ounce $3.50 package say for zone two is up over $2.00 and up another $1 for the more distant zones... Of course you can get up to 4 ounces at the same price but delivery is slower too

Eventually there will be no mail order on the little stuff.. 1 ounce to Europe is $20 to $22 via UPS or USPS for a $8 part...

Amazon deliverer issues all the time and getting it straightened out when you don’t get your product is a PITA.
Amazon delivery was so incompetent in our area they stopped it and went back to the trusty USPS, thank god!
