A lot of people have turned into Amazombies.
Anything on Amazon must be the best deal cause its right there on screen.
They could sell snow to Eskimos.

The nice thing about Walmart is that you see the actual product before you buy it. With Amazon, sometimes you get surprised, such as with an old batch of an oil, an open box of a Fram Ultra, etc.

I think you're right that Walmart is the one who is lowering the prices. If Walmart stopped selling oil, Amazon would charge $40 for what they are charging $25 now.

There isn't a Walmart in my area that sells 0w40 . I'm not sure why Walmart keeps getting brought up but they do not sell 0w40. Sometimes I feel like people give automated responses instead of reading first. The only way to buy it at my Walmart is in single quarts at over $8 a quart.

Did you look online? They ship $35 to your home for free or did you just go to the store.

I was going to say the same thing.

I went to the store. Walmart has the most incompetent people running the show most of the time. I've ordered stuff on walmart.com before only for them to send it to the wrong address or send the wrong product. So for $29 I got 6 quarts of 5w40 full syn oil from Amazon and $13 for 3 k&n oil filter's. Overall I don't think it's a bad deal.

But it's not approved, I believe is the point, whilst, despite the protest, if you ordered M1 0w-40 or GC 0w-40 from Walmart online, it would be. You could also order those oils on Amazon, along with many other excellent approved Euro oils. You spent $13 on oil filters, I'm quite sure you could have swung the difference between the unapproved oil and the approved one and maybe got one less filter

We all know approval often times is politics and money. I'm sure amazon doesn't pay the extra to get the license approval.

We aren't talking about AMSOIL here, who does actually have some approved oils now, this is Amazon, a company worth $162 billon dollars, and it isn't like they produce the oil, it's a product from a commodity blender (Warren). If Mobil, Shell and Castrol can sell an approved oil for a similar price, it isn't the cost of the certification that's the issue, particularly since it appears to be a non-issue with GM's Dexos license

Back to your original question. For an unapproved oil you're fine for 6k. If it was approved you would be good for more like 10k. You dont want to play roulette.

Also worth noting here is that the 5w-40 "Euro" oil is API SN and CK-4 (Diesel) whilst the 0w-40 is API SN and at least ACEA A3/B4
