Amalie Elixir Full Synthetic, What group is it?

A wild guess looking at the pour points predominantly GPIII. May I ask why would it matter?
It doesn't matter really, was just wondering how it stacks up to M1 0W-40, Castrol A3 0W-40, etc. I had never heard of Amalie, but it looks like it has been around forever.

Amalie has performed well for me over the past few years, whether in its own clothing (Elixir) or disguised as a store brand (Fram - Advance Auto). Amalie also produced STP (Autozone) for awhile but not any more.

I’d like to know what other brands does Amalie provide for. Also do you know who makes STPs synthetic now?

I recently called the closest FL distributor of Amalie to see what was available to buy in 5 quart jugs. It only sells cases of quarts, not competitively priced. I'd use it if I could buy it at a fair price.

We‘ve been using it for a few months at the shop, seems fine, like typical house brand stuff we’ve used in the past.

A bit difficult to determine how it stacks up by what the base stock happens to be. A better way is to compare which specifications, licenses and approvals the oils hold. How does that stack up?

The two you mention in your post carry some pretty stringent manufacturer approvals which demonstrate the oil's abilities. What does the Amalie product have in that regard?

Amalie also makes Wolf's Head

They also make STP Synthetic (and other STP oils sold at Autozone) :D

AAP's house brand is made by Amalie (both the new Fram-branded oil and the Carquest brand it replaced)

Walmart's Super Tech is made by Amalie in some regions (including Florida where Amalie is from)
