Alternator bearing removal?

Water cooled alternators in new cars. 48v in some cases.

IIRC BMW was using air cooled alternators 20+ years ago. Think I first encountered on on an E38.

It’s a little laboratory turn table that happens to use an alternator bearing.

I can't imagine repairing an alternator in this day and age. Thats just me.

I took mine to the local rebuilder. $60 cash instead of $250 for new. Supporting these guys is delaying the day and age that you are thinking of.

What else can be said. Like the 2 holes on the other side trick to push it out.Like a car brake rotor. a 100.00 blind hole bearing puller... to use , what once? Advance auto MAY have a loaner internal puller or this same blind hole puller. They loan tools free!! Bring it in and ask! Nice people

But BMW used water cooler alternators in the 7 series.

How does one remove this bearing? It’s pressed in and not accessible from the other side.

I'd think a pilot bearing puller would work on that and can be rented. That or some sort of a blind hole puller with a side hammer. Harbor freight has some.
