With the replacement of the Explorer with the Kia K5, just like that every car in my signature uses a cartridge oil filter.

It feels a little strange not having at least one vehicle that uses a spin-on and my nice filter cutter will not see any action until (perhaps) the MB goes off lease.

I guess it is the sign of the times...

my old 08 Mazda6i had cartridge filter, I took it to 250K miles no problems

now my both Hondas have spin-on oil filter; the outlook remains to be seen

I just picked up my first ever cartridge filter vehicle. I’m now 50/50.
