If you're the type of person who buys cars based on the emotions you experience when you look at and drive a car, this car is meant to cause your pants to fall down to your ankles from the first time you set eyes upon it, and for your wallet to fall into the sales manager's hands the moment you hear it fire up.
My wife nearly fell for this trap at the beginning of the year.
Actually, she did. When we finally got to lay eyes on it on January 5th, she started tearing up, that's how beautiful it was to her.
Instead, we custom ordered a 2015 Cayman, and we currently have over 10k miles in 3 months of bliss.
We need a car we wouldn't be afraid to drive every day, and that wouldn't actually be trying to kill us on a cross country trip, like we did in July. 5k miles in 2 weeks would be torture in the Alfa.
BC.
Thanks for the warning on the wife situation. Mine loves the Alfa Romeo designs and even wanted to travel abroad to get one at some point. I have to steer clear of the dealerships when these are finally available in the US.
Probably not... because I like their cars, too. I am now picturing the speed of my wallet falling in the hands of the dealer.
