So, today I sliced open a number of oil filters, one from my 2014 Mazda CX-5, my 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and 3 oil filters from my Ducati's.

The first thing to know about Ducati spin on oil filters is that the same exact oil filter is used from a 2007 Monster S2R1000, to the 848/1098/1099/1199 Superbikes, all the way to my wife's 2017 Scrambler and my 2020 SuperSport.

But, the Ducati part number has changed quite a lot over the years.

So, here's a quick shot of the differences (.8A is from the SuperSport, and the .5A is either from the Scrambler or the 848) between two versions:

Thanks great picts, look like a diff supplier altogether.

I cut open one of these perflux units and saw the excellent build as well as the "wafer thin" ADBV.

I never did see an efficiency claim on these if I recall?

I've seen the comically thin ADBV on my Coopers/FIAAM filters which are also part of the SOGEFI group. I equate thin with flexible and potentially better sealing! Nice filters.
