So, today I sliced open a number of oil filters, one from my 2014 Mazda CX-5, my 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and 3 oil filters from my Ducati's.
The first thing to know about Ducati spin on oil filters is that the same exact oil filter is used from a 2007 Monster S2R1000, to the 848/1098/1099/1199 Superbikes, all the way to my wife's 2017 Scrambler and my 2020 SuperSport.
But, the Ducati part number has changed quite a lot over the years.
So, here's a quick shot of the differences (.8A is from the SuperSport, and the .5A is either from the Scrambler or the 848) between two versions:
