I think we may be getting a little too far into the science, and not enough on the "man on the street" performance results. Do we really need to be consumed with the individual components, instead maybe concentrate on the end results, which he UOA's show. I still maintain that based on real world data, the LZ additive package used in the brands I mentioned give proven performance, and that's all we really need to concentrate on.....what performs good.
In a few month's, when the SN oils are rolled out, there wont even be a need for this board because all of the oils will give equal performance, from supertech to Platinum. So you can buy whatever is cheapest and feel comfortable. The SN oils requirements demand unparalleled base oil and additive strategies. If it can meet the spec, it's excels in performance, in both protection and lengthy change intervals.
