You edited out an insult and you're calling me a troll. Yet you claim you didn't insult me. Bravo.

Where is the post where I claimed you had said ISIS had acquired weapons of mass destruction. It was never said.

And the link you gave is not proof whatsoever. If you have proof, why don't you post it up.

So I take it you disagree with Steve that there are thousands of ISIS fighters in the US with passports?

As in your example of anti-government nuts as exclusive to the far right? Funny when presented with examples that are contradictory to your statements you resort to calling people mouth breathers. It would seem ideas and people that challenge your homogeneous view frightens you thus attempt to insult your opponents intelligence. What compels this response from you?

Yeah just when people are asked to provide the source of information behind "thousands of ISIS fighters with passports already in the US ready to strike us".

How convenient. At least they didn't claim it was a "known unknown".

I think the first time you said it was enough. Repeating yourself incessantly makes you look like a bad sport. Let him be. Let it go.
Let it go.

I responded to his assertion that James Von Brun was left wing. LOL, that was hilarious.

Sorry Mori. I can not post anything more than open source intelligence. I was trying to prompt you to gather the facts for yourself. There is likely as few as 30 American Passport holders fighting with ISIS currently. Western European nations are reporting 700 to 1200 Passport holders as current members of ISIS.

Mori there can be no preemptive strikes against ISIS. Two Americans have been decapitated for the sole purpose to spread ISIS propaganda for recruitment. There is also an nearly hour long movie produced from ISIS spreading its propaganda for it caliphate, its caliph, and for American destruction. Along with the message the War has just begun there is a lot more to follow. I imagine the hundreds of decapitated heads of ISIS's enemies, mass graves, and the execution of American's will not ever be enough for you take action or even call for action against ISIS. At least action in a meaningful way to stop ISIS and its expansion. "Coalition" building, airstrikes, asset freezing, and shaking fingers does not stop any group will ill content once it has gained this much momentum. Sorry direct confrontation is the only means at this point to blunt the momentum. The "coalition" of Sunni's will be helpful in the next step of providing a real alternative to the insane views of Baghdadi, if the Sunni nations are truly intent of stopping ISIS. The issue is under this leadership the tactics are half measured and backwards thus ineffective and in case because of inaction this problem has only spread, grown, entrenched, thus a lot more costly to defeat in both economic and human life.

Well, it seems to have devolved into infighting among people here now and not a discussion about the actual thread topic.

So the idiot bigot Von Brun is right wing for supporting wiping every Jew off the planet and supporting the resurrection of the national socialist party. Yet right wingers are castrated for supporting Israel against Hamas? Which is it.

Von Brun even wrote neo-conservative is code for Jew. Not exactly a person with right wing political views. Research it for yourself Von Brun was often an advocate for Ron Paul and was a member of Ron Paul's forums and websites. This will burst your bubble. The Libertarian Party is not right wing.

I find none of this funny.

Why are you calling me Mori?

And why do you think I wouldn't be willing to take action?

The problem is that even with ground troops what does victory look like? We would go in with overwhelming force and ISIS would scatter. We would then become a permanent security force for Iraq, setting up bases across the country. They then have the choice of having the jihad against America that they want or they would disperse to other countries where they would be safe to plot against the US.

Do you wonder why they make statements such as "Come here or we will come to you", "Fight like real men instead of using drones"? I don't know why are you so willing to fight them how they want to be fought.

I think it is a far better strategy to fight a slow war which diminishes ISIS and prevents them from scattering. Iraqi forces can learn on the job how to take back cities and secure them. It will be invaluable experience for when this is over.

This is what Netanyahu said a few days ago at the UN. He doesn't think that ISIS are the big threat you do at all, and he is right next door to them.

or this

"mustardgate"

The new one is that Obama had the nerve, the nerve I tell you! of ordering Dijon mustard with his overcooked burger, and the media is covering up that fact.

As usual, Sean Hannity and the right wingnutosphere are all over it like Dijon on fries.

Following President Obama's May 5 visit to Ray's [censored] Burger in Arlington, Virginia, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Rush Limbaugh Show guest host Mark Steyn criticized Obama as an elitist because he ordered a burger with "spicy mustard" or "Dijon mustard." Hannity claimed that Obama ordered a "fancy burger" with a "very special condiment," while Steyn asserted Obama is trying "to enlighten us" through his order. Ingraham asked of Obama: "What kind of man orders a cheeseburger without ketchup but Dijon mustard? ... The guy orders a cheeseburger without ketchup? What is that?" In their discussions of Obama's burger order, Hannity, Ingraham, and Steyn all referenced a Grey Poupon commercial featuring actors portraying wealthy British men expressing desire for the mustard

It is war for a reason. Sorry if the issue of staying in Iraq disagrees with you, if this was done in the first place the whole issue of ISIS would just be the Levant and Iraq would not be on the verge of annihilation to ISIS.

The concept of engaging the enemy in their yard is favorable then engaging the enemy here. Think about it while the U.S. was conducting operations in Iraq just about every nutjob was content of fighting service members there and due to the capture of high ranking Al-Qaeda operatives in Iraq we where able to gather Intel on UBL that led to his killing.

With your logic Nazi Germany should not have been engaged by the U.S. after all Germany did not attack the U.S. Japan did. All Germany did was declare war against the U.S.

let me introduce you to "Godwin's law" in which the intellectually lazy lose any argument by making absurd comparisons to Hitler

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law

There are many corollaries to Godwin's law, some considered more canonical (by being adopted by Godwin himself)[3] than others.[1] For example, there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically lost whatever debate was in progress.[8] This principle is itself frequently referred to as Godwin's law. It is considered poor form to raise such a comparison arbitrarily with the motive of ending the thread. There is a widely recognized corollary that any such ulterior-motive invocation of Godwin's law will be unsuccessful.[9]

This 'campaign' of airstrikes against ISIS/ISIL is not cheap. http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/iraq-tu...ion-day-n192051

So far, it hasn't seemed to make a dent in the ISIS numbers or threat level since before the 'campaign' began. If anything we are getting reports of more people joining ISIS. They aren't running scared, there has been no change. Maybe after they get more countries on-side to join in the attacks. Maybe those other countries can actually provide some basic intel to find actual people enemies instead of supposed building structures to make a difference, instead of chasing shadows.

Seems like just another time/money/life/energy epic fail.

Some of the responses in this thread are pretty despicable blue team/red team partisan [censored]...

But I'll focus on this line. I agree the airstrikes are not cheap, but they certainly are not ineffective and they have in fact made a serious dent on ISIS -- by supporting the advances of the Pesh Merga and Iraqi "Army" (sic). They have increasingly hindered ISIS tactical movement, attrited their AFV's and trucks, have served as long range artillery support for beleaguered allied forces, and have largely made an ISIS advance into Baghdad impossible...
