Air filter for 07 Tacoma

What is the best currently available replacement air filter element for the 2007 Toyota Tacoma? Are any better than the OEM? I am interested in best engine protection.

On my 07 V-6 Tacoma, I just replaced my OEM with a Wix 6888. It fit really tight in the filter housing, better than the OEM. If you are concerned about where it was manufactured, mine said "Made in South Korea". If I remember correctly, I paid $13 for it. I get my Wix products through work and pay a lot less than retail. I think Toyota wants over $30 for the OEM. Hope this helps.

STP filters are the way to go. Affordable yet reliable. For your Tacoma, 4cyl AF3994, or for a 6cyl SA9683. STP is built to satisfy oem specifications and they do not void new car warranties if you use them.

I always ask for a discount at the dealerships ,I will only buy at one that gives me a discount.
