Aftermarket windshield?

I would verify the aftermarket glass is exactly the same as OEM.

For example I believe on my F150 the OEM glass provides a significant reduction in cabin noise.

"ACOUSTIC GLASS"

Audi use such acoustic windshields also, as well as VW, BMW, MB.
And obviously Ford and probably some others.
On some models as standard, on some as an option, probably on
this Audi Q5. Many or most if not all aftermarket miss this trait.
I don't know on which forums the OP was reading, but I'd love to
know which one. It matters.
As a matter of fact US are different to Europe (again). I had many
many windshields replaced, way more to count. However, all the
BMW, Audi, VW and Porsche dealerships I called entirely employ
their own body builders and replace all car glass in their own shops.
Some even do all painting within their own body shops. Germany.
That's why it matters.
Anyway, I'd in particular trust forum members who own the same
verhicle and had a windshield replaced before, instead of generic
forums. Don't get me wrong please, but some cars are different as
others, regaring their particular windshield issues.

PGW is Pittsburgh glass works, part of PPG
Nope, PGW is a separate company. PPG sold them off years ago. They farm out a lot of their production to other companies like XYG. My PGW in my CR-V was also made by XYG, but in China.

It’s not only the glass. They can also mess up your paint installing the glass. I know from experience , dealer only for me.
Dealers can't screw things up? Look at all the "stealership" posts on this forum.

Over the years I've had two windshields replaced by Safelight and both jobs were just fine. However, both repairs were before a lot of this high-tech stuff started filtering into the marketplace.

Sure dealers screw things up. But when Safelite messes up your electronics guess where they send you to get it fixed? That’s right the dealer. I prefer one stop shopping.
