AFE dry flow cleaning ?? Ran out of afe cleaner... simple green, meguiars apc?

Hey everyone im looking to clean my afe dry flow air filter and i ran out of afe cleaner and wanted to know if there is something else i can use in a pinch before i order some new cleaner. spray nine? simple green? meguiars APC?
just wanted to make sure i can use something safe that will not damage the filter. thanks

Wow, I have had mine on for like 15 years, and evey time I take it off it looks great, you must live in a dusty area.

well i try and clean it every so many miles and i have a couple cars with the afe's on them

I would consider using diluted simple green.

But Amazon can't deliver fast enough?

I have an AFE dry flow on my Focus and when I went to clean it after 15K of use it seemed pretty clean....I'll probably wait until 20K to clean it next time. I used diluted Simple Green without issues.

if your filter looks clean after a bit of use then it aint catching much

My airaid dry filter says use a degreaser like Simple Green. I cleaned mine with diluted Super Clean and it seemed to work.

The K&N cleaner is just "purple power"/similar - should work on this too.

I’ve never washed mine. Use light air and call it good.
