I have two advance auto parts oil filters protection plus total grip # AA3675 does anyone know what this filter fits or what it cross referances advance stopped making this filter according to a parts guy working there it is in an orange box.. Im pretty sure it is a purolator it does say on the box that it is not made by honeywell makers of fram, guess thats good..

It's a purolator, fits a lot of GM V6s and V8s. The AAP website still lists these filters so you can lookup on there to see if it will fit your car.

It's a Purolator Premium Plus with less surface area. It's a good filter for the money. The AA filter use the Fram part numbers. Check the Fram website for PH3675 fitment guide.

+1 and they say not made by Fram because on the front of the red box they come in, it says compare to Fram. If you look at any Advance branded product it will say compare to another product. Bad thing is on a shelf you can only really compare price.

If you take oil to recyle there, you can or have to walk into the back to the recycle tank. On the way thru you may can see any of the little red boxes that are there or not.

That's a shame. That's a filter that was a good "bang for the buck". I liked them and used a number of them. I think a number of us here liked them for 3-5k OCI's.

Now, I get the ProSelects at NAPA for $2.99.

The TG was a great buy ..and even better at BOGO. Mine still has them behind the counter ..but when asked, the counter guy said "maybe" as to availability.

"maybe", now that's an interesting (vague) answer.

They're still behind the counter at the nearest AAP. I recently purchased a few. I don't know if they are still manufacturing them, but I may try to get at least one more for my stash. Coincidentally, I do happen to know a manager there, whether that helped or not, I don't know.

The BOGO was quite a deal, I don't think I realized how good back then. Hindsight, I wish I'd bought more. The total grip makes them easy to install and remove. I think AAP moved them to the back because of the direct competition with the PuroP+.

It appears that the AAP total grip filter may have been a consumer test run for the total grip concept to appear on a high end product, the Pure one filter.

We liked it, and it worked. Now, we're being asked to pay more for it on the Pure One.

The last batch I bought was a BOGO deal when they opened a new location in town.

They limited quantities but that just meant I had to make three trips there over the weekend.

I guess the O'Reilly's or Pep Boys house brand filters will still work. They are Purolator (Bosch, Arvin Meritor, whatever?) too.

I liked them also. It stinks they quit offering them. I just ordered a case of 51040's from Fleet Filter so I won't have to worry about running out for awhile.;)

They moved them to the back for commercial accounts, but the general public should still be able to buy them. They used to and still do sell PowerFlo to commercial accounts which is a Purolator product also.

My local store has them in the back too.

For my Toyota, they are $2.88 each.

That's just a couple of dimes away from the regular white/blue box Purolator sitting on the shelf out front.

If it's the Purolator with a different paint job, it's worth asking for.

If it has less filtering material in its element, I would have to pass.

The height of the material is the same and the Purolator had 68 pleats (part number L14670) and the Advance filter had 58 pleats (part number AA16).
