Anyone know where I can get Adobe Acrobat Standard version for cheap (read: free)?

Of course I've used the reader for years and finally got the Adobe Acrobat Standard version at work. Not sure how I survived without it before. Now I want it at home to instantly convert docs to .pdf, clean-up pdf's etc.

Thanks,

I think this is what you're looking for:

Cute PDF Writer

EDIT: This may not be what you want. The "Writer Companion" is bundled with some "Coupon" software... I should have read it before posting.

BTW, the "Cute PDF Writer" alone is not bundled with anything and creating pdf's easy. No editing capability, though.

I do't think you can legally find free Acrobat. I know OpenOffice can save the files as PDF but I don't know if it can open and modify them.

You CAN create PDF files legally, you just can't find free/legal versions of the software brand Adobe Acrobat. The CutePDF Writer is free and legal, and is an excellent product.

A good source of info: www.accesspdf.com.
