Adding heated mirrors to 2012 RAV4 base?

Do any of you know if the wiring for heated mirrors is already on the harness for these vehicles? Is there a switch that need to be added or are they switched by the rear defroster?

My wife’s 2016 Corolla has heated mirrors but I don’t think there’s a separate switch for them.

Look up an owners manual for that model to see how the heated mirrors are turned on/off. I suspect they're tied into the defrost setting like you think as that seems to be very common.

Toyota does this both ways kind of depends. My 06 tundra has its own switch and circuit. Some toyotas you can get aftermarket kits.
