Your "stats" belie the truth that Lexus LS gouged away substantial market share from the Germans...in the US, today, Lexus owns that market, and they earned it. In that market, Lexus is the most reliable, yet it can handle as well as the best of them.

Absolutely. Some buyers were out for the three pointed star, or the roundel, but when the LS hit - even though it was generic looking compared to the Germans, it delivered a massive shock to the European large luxury car market. The LS was and remains exceedingly comfortable, reliable, nice handling and powerful. It was a better package all-round than the big Benz, and it was an order of magnitude more reliable than it. (okay, maybe not an order of magnitude more reliable.) It was a far better value, too. I understand that the market has settled and that modern day Lexus buyers, BMW buyers and Merc buyers are somewhat different, but let's be fair: the LS is still beating Mercedes at their game.

This thread is proof of how irrelevant Acura TLX is. There is so little to talk about.

So true. And back in the day, Honda gave us the 1st upscale Japanese car and changed the game. Our trusty old TSX is a fantastic car but I am not sure there is an Acura that would get my money today.
