I definitely screwed up.
Household 5% vinegar is not so innocent. I’ve had a couple trouble spots on my outdoor griddle surface ( carbon steel) . Scrubbing, cleaning, stoning then seasoning again- next rain rust is back…..anyway I tried everything short of sanding.
So I decided to test a little plain vinegar and it worked great on a warm grill. So I warmed the whole Grill up decently and pour some vinegar on. Holy cow straight acetic acid flashed off straight up my nose. Kinda nasty but I carried on and definitely cleaned the surface nicely
Well it still burns a bit ..,..burned my throat for over a day like the worst sore throat and my sinuses are still draining massively. All inflamed.
Salt water gargle helps as does saline sinus spray but still idiocy on my part - don’t do this
