My Question is with international manufacturers asking for a JASO DH-2 spec which is closer, ACEA E6 or ACEA E9, my understanding is that the E9 meets the American Emission
legislation and E6 The European, But if for example a Japanese Machine is Imported into America it will most likely use an E9 Equivalent, therefore would it be safe to use E9 in place of E6 in the UK ?

E9-12 ask for a group 2 or group 3 oil ,so oil maker are very unlikely to formulate 10 million ways, usually their top of the line conventional will meet or exceed anything the planet can trow at it .synthetic are different since the oil maker have more choice.
But if an oil is cj-4 acea9-12 and euro 6?dont sweat the oil have high ods of being on par with anything .true with some new conventional claiming to be even better then normal conventional oil (isosyn,Pennzoil ultraplatinum made with natural gas etc)wich have yet to be compared it get confusing till some clear up this confusion

Well, the only Japanese diesel I regularly encounter in the USA is an Isuzu box truck. They take API CJ4 oil, but the oils I have used (Shell Rotella, Chevron Delo) said nothing about any ACEA tests. They also don't mention any JASO tests either.

I am unsure what oil will work for use in Europe. API CJ-4 oil is considered low SAPS, but VW 507 oils and other European car oils have lower SAPS than even API CJ-4 allows.
