We recently purchased a certified 2012 Chevy Cruze with the 1.4L turbo engine. Having 31K on the clock I wanted to go through some of the replaceable items...not sure how "certified" certified is.
Anyway I ordered a replacement air filter the OEM ACDelco A3144C from Amazon for $11 and change. Upon inspection of the new filter I realized Mann had produced the Delco filter in this application as "MANN" was stamped beside the GM part number on the filter.
Secondly I'm glad I did the replacement as one of the screws holding the top on the airbox was not secured. All I need is a little dirt interacting with the turbo, huh? I guess the certification guy forgot to tighten it, huh? The old filter didn't look all that bad, just a little dirty and there were some leaves in the airbox, but it actually looks like it probably hadn't been in service long. Anyway she's all buttoned up with a clean airbox and a new AC Delco (Mann) filter.
