I am looking for a Dexron VI product to use for a 2003 4runner power steering flush, and possibly later in a transmission flush. What I have read seems to say any Dexron VI licensed product ought to do a similar job - correct?

I was looking at gallons of AC Delco Dexron VI on amazon and they seem to have two options, but I don't see what the difference is. Can someone help me understand?

AC Delco 10-9030 Dexron VI automatic transmission fluid 1 gal - $34
Ac Delco 10-9395 Dexron VI automatic transmission fluid 1 gal- $22

Yes, all Dexron VI products have to be licensed by GM. The difference in the AC Delco gallons on Amazon appear to be just a different container shape. The more expensive one is also sold by a third party retailer and not Amazon. Just buy whatever is cheapest. Most Wal-Marts have Supertech Dexron VI for $4.27/qt.

I use maxlife synthetic atf for all my old toyotas. It works and it is cheap at Walmart and sometimes amazon.

I've been using Supertech Dexron VI, the transmission (2001, 120K miles) is shifting better than when I got the car at 25K miles, even though it's supposed to use Dexron III.

Being a licensed product, that Delco atf is no better than anything else and is overpriced. Shop by the price and not the brand in this case. S Tech, Maxx Life is just as good and cheaper.

Used for 4 years now in 4L60e - Castrol is a semi syn. AZ started to carry the full synthetic multi that was also Dex VI approved. Switched to that. I have a small stash left - but appears to be going away.
I run a remote filter - XG16 - and the fluid looks bottled quality a year later - but I swap filter and 4 quarts once a year regardless
(have drain plug, 20 mins)

Excellent stuff and also has the official cert. for a Dexron VI. I would use with confidence.
