AC Delco Dex-VI @ $4.54qt vs. SuperTech Dex-VI

In a previous post, I asked about ATF options for the 4L60E trans in my '05 Suburban and '03 Tahoe. The consensus was Super Tech Dex-VI for a filter change, refill, then fluid exchange.

I just found that I can buy AC Delco Dex-VI for $4.54 a quart. At that price, factory fill looks very appealing...

How does Super Tech compare to AC Delco? Would they be the same formulation since they have to meet GM's specs?

Your thoughts are welcome...

My gut reaction is the Delco fluid is synthetic blend with the additives and such to meet Dex6. I believe both fluids to have similar performance. At $4.54 I would buy all of it.

I would go with the Delco fluid

It's going to be very similar, since Dex-VI is a pretty tight spec.

I'd jump on the Delco fluid since it's not terribly different in price, and you absolutely know it'll work since it's Delco.

That being said, I've run ST Dex-VI in my Buick's 4T65 with only good things to say about it.
