I recently did a torque converter swap in a 4L60E with the deep pan and after install filled the trans up with AC Delco Dex VI part number 10-9395.

Today I decided to do a filter swap and the best stuff I can find in town is Valvoline Max Life multi vehicle ATF part number 773775 .
Says its Dex VI compatible and its full synthetic.

Is it ok to go ahead and use the Valvoline or should I wait and order the Delco stuff I used before? I dont like mixing brands if I can help it so figured I'd ask the experts.

BTW the Valvoline was about $17 a gallon whereas the Delco was more like $30.

Is it safe to mix tho? When i went with the AC Delco it wasn't "bone dry" but was completely empty. Took 12 quarts. I am only adding 4-6 of the Valvoline multi vehicle. The multi vehicle labelling makes me a lil nervous TBH.

Ok Im gonna go ahead and use it then. Thanks for the response. I am no oil expert. It seems like this is kind of the only stuff you can find around town, save for a few house brands here and there.

I too have had very good experience with MaxLife ATF over a bunch of years in Kia and Honda/Acura vehicles it's compatible with.
The latest p/n seems to be 786953 now thou. I'd not hesitate using either 773775 or 786953 in a transmission compatible with it.
My worst case schedule has been 50K miles D/F and best case I try to stick to is 30K miles D/F.

That 4L60 isn’t picky on fluid - both will mix and work fine.

GM backspeced almost all their trans to use Dex VI.
