How is the taste of that beer???

The S60 just like all other Volvo's the struts mounts like to go first.
The beer was good. It’s a good beer that’s drank when hot outside or in large quantities while pool lounging.

The S60 struts were 4 years old. Sachs from FCP Euro. Less than 50k miles I’m sure. The spring broke and went into the tire. I finally had the chance to swap parts over yesterday.

That's, maybe a minute after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, going North.

Poppies everywhere.

I went to a restaurant near the coast.

Carb day! Mac and cheese with bacon, topped with breadcrumbs and herbs.

The "town" of Marshall along Tomales Bay.

I drove up into the Marin Headlands just north of the bridge. San Francisco is visible behind the bridge.

A viewpoint with the Point Bonita Lighthouse near the tip of the outcropping you can see in the distance. Somewhere to the right is an old Nike Missile site that's open to the public.

I took this picture before the previously posted one but it makes a better final picture. That's a few minutes before sunset.

Great pics in general. I like that you feature the scenery and not so much the car.

I like the outdoor dining setting of the restaurant. I've a friend that I'd like to take out of town for a drive and for lunch, was thinking of heading towards Tomales Bay, etc. Which restaurant has that lovely garden setting? She's going thru a rough patch and this may be a perfect afternoon for her.

Keep up the neat drive pictures 🚗 (y)

Thanks. I was thinking of doing A Day in the Life of Miss Moneypenny. - a series of images in which the scenery is shown from the perspective of the vehicle. So far I have been too lazy to do this. The restaurant is the Station House Cafe in Point Reyes Station in Marin. The food seems better than I remember it from just a few years ago. The effects of the pandemic and the landlord raising the rent from over $8,000 to $28,000 a month almost killed the restaurant. A year ago they moved one block to their old location from the '60s and they seem to be doing alright now. As you probably know, Point Reyes Station is a very small town and it can support only a few restaurants and only thanks to visitors to the Point Reyes/Tomales Bay area. I believe Point Reyes has three restaurants and a bakery but a population of only a little over 200.

I meant to say Point Reyes Station, not Point Reyes, has three restaurants. As for Point Reyes, once you are past the hamlet of Inverness you'll have to stealthily milk a cow or poach an elk or a rabbit for dinner.

I have made deliveries to the kitchen of Station House Cafe at their old location. It is a clean operation.

Cows are so happy out in West Marin County. They get to roam freely in open pastures (free range cows lol), graze on the best green stuff and breathe in the cleanest of air. I have seen these cows dancing in contentment.

For some reason, I knew what you meant. Probably my familiarity with the area.
