any recomendations for D15B8 engine with 124,000 miles? ive been using delo 15w40 for about 3500 miles and there has been no need to top off.
Im planning on using castrol start up 10w40 or supreme 10w30...any recomendations?
thks

I'd say keep with a 15w-40 if your engine likes it and the climate permits.

BUT: did you switch to 15w-40 because of burning, or to prevent it? That might change the reccomendation a little.

I'm with burnout. Usually Honda owners like 5-30 or 10-30 as its recommended and thicker oils make the motor less responsive. So if you engine wasn't consuming before the delo
I'd use 5-30 or 10-30 supreme or 1/2 delo and 1/2 5-20 supreme. But if you or the prior owner put delo in to stop consumption or smoke most of these recommendations will restore your previous condition.

the previous owner used 20w-50 in all of his cars and i was afraid a 10w30 would burn so i tried the 15w40, im going to take your advice and try supreme 10w30
thks

I've owned two Integras with the D16A1, and having tried 15w-50 in one of them to slow some burning, I would take the consumption any day over the loss in response. Go with a quality 5w-30 or 10w-30, you'll notice an improvement in response over the 15w-40.

holy smokes thats thick, i have a D15b7 with 172k and use 10-30, supertech right now... and i thought that might have been too thick, now im not sure lol.
