9 year old Wipers?

I change my wipers once a year on all our cars. Always in the fall.

Makes me feel better as my wife has poor night vision and drives home from work a lot on rainy/snowy nights.

To me the money is well spent.

This is what I was thinking. I haven't seen any that don't start peeling within a few years.

All said, I am more scared thinking of all the mechanical disasters sharing the road with me, driven by people that don't think that being able to see, stop or control their vehicle is important than I am of global warming.

In Detroit I am surrounded by bald tires, missing wipers, mis-aimed headlights on cars bought without the optional turn signal feature ( I can only assume) all vying for Public Nuisance #1.

So true....

Don't forget your bulletproof vest either. 8 mile road...

If she inherit a 10 year old Lexus, I'd say it is probably about the same as someone driving a 5 year old Toyota. It's not always the car, and sometimes people (especially rich people) are darn cheap.

Hey i'd done the one wiper thing. On my 01 Impala LS i had just changed the wipers a month earlier and the wiper snapped(didn't know it was iced over) during the winter. I went to a local station and bought a single wiper of the same brand for like 5 bucks.

6 months down here in the blazing Miami sun [no matter what brand] and they are shot..Last week a small piece of rubber came off one of mine..They were just 5.5 months old.

They would probably last alot longer if cars had the wiper pocket like they had back in the 70's.
