85516 Carquest oil filter

This filter fits my '08 F-150 with the 4.2 V-6 engine. Engine internals appear to be quite clean from what I can see. Will this filter be acceptable for a 10,000 mile oci with Mobil 1 oil?

I would not hesitate to use it for a 10k interval, it is a good filter.

I think I would upgrade to a top-tier filter designed for long OCI's.... such as the Fram Ultra (best bang for the buck), or the Purolator Synthetic.

IIRC, CarQuest have two line of filters; Red and Blue. I believe the Blue is the identical to the Wix, while the cheaper Red uses a different media. (still made by Wix)

That filter most assuredly would do well for 10k miles, and probably further than that.
