NAPA GOLD #7502 CUT OPEN

This oil filter and NAPA Synthetic 5w30 was in and on a 2019 Ford F-150 with 3.5 v-6 engine. 5,123 miles on oil and filter. Put some Mobil 1 5w30 and a Fram Ultra he brought. Friend bought this truck last week.

Those NAPA Gold filters seem to be well constructed and hold up pretty good.

I thought they used to have the bypass valve on the dome end with a coil spring? Did this change did this change when Mann and Hummel took over? Still a nice looking filter. I have one sitting in my garage, since Walmart stop carrying Motorcraft..

I’d go with Fram Tough Guard

There is no need to be afraid of fiber end caps. Fiber is easier to glue the filer media to than metal and it hold ups perfectly fine.

Yes, Tough Guards have fiber end caps.

Yes, bypass valve. Some call it the "flat spring".

If you're worried about the end caps, just go for the Ultra. But as mentioned above, non-metal end caps work just fine. What kind of OCI run are you doing?
