Popped up in my Facebook feed today. >600K mile Chrysler Penstar V6 tear down. "Mostly Valvoline and some Mobil 1 changed at 8K miles" (paraphrased).

doesn't say what the usage was, sounds like a over the road vehicle. if thats the case, highway miles are the easiest one. just kinda idling along low load.

Impressive mileage. Did this guy say he bought a replacement engine with 2,000 miles on it for $360 bucks?? If so, heck, I would have removed the old engine even if it were running fine, and replaced it with the 2,000 mile engine...you can’t even get an oil change and tuneup on a six cylinder for $360 bucks nowadays.
