I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier, 4.0 V6. I am running Mobil 1, 5w30 as the manual calls for. What would be my anvantages or disadvantages of running 5w20, or 0w20?

Which one supports the bearings better at normal operating temperature or for that matter under extreme loading conditions?
Rickey.

But, also, I'd even bet to say that the 5w30 pumps better because it's giving better oil pressure. 5w-20 = EPA oil... it's not best for your engine.

I do think that a new car, or most any car, will last a while on 5w-20...

See, that's not what I'm getting at though. There is no question that 5/10w-30 offers better protection over 5w-20. So... why use something that offers less protection just because you can?
