5w20 or 5w30 pick a number !

OP That engine was back spec'd to 5w20. you can use 5w20 or 5w30 without issue. You could also use the 10w30 you use in the Volvo if you wanted to go that route. The 3.3/3.8 engines are pretty decent engines. Also 127k isn't really high mileage if its been remotely maintained. If you wanted to run synthetic i doubt you would have any issue.
 
Thank you. I've been through the manual over and over and no mention of 5w20 so I guess I'm staying with 5w30 in the caravan and am going to use it in my old Volvo. The Volvo has 397K miles and still does not use any oil. The reason I'm thinking of changing to a little thinner oil is because at about 0 degrees, it really groans when you start it in the morning and sometimes just can't do it without a little extra with the charger. That maybe the battery even though it's only 6 or 7 years old. Thanks everyone. You guys are great.
