5w20 engine oil in 4EFE engine

I see no benefit to it, unless you're in cold climate year round. It's an older engine, and a 5W30 would be better suited for most of climates and/or duty cycles. If however you push the engine hard by severe service (racing, towing, mountain driving, lots of idling, or lots of short trips), then I'd lean towards at least a 5w30. Being a small displacement engine I'm pretty sure it spends lots of time in higher RPM range.

In my climate (Charlotte, NC, USA) I run Mobil 1 Euro 0W-40/5W-40 year round in family vehicles, and any cheap HDEO 15w40 in my personal cars year round. I like HDEO 15w40 oils as they cover the range of temperatures I live in (for startup), and provide higher MOFT (minimum oil film thickness) on all moving parts inside my engines.

I now use 5w30 valvoline maxlife synthetic blend high mileage.
